Electric & Hybrid Vehicles
Electric and hybrid vehicles combine high energy density with complex electronics. HelvetiaSafe protects engine bays, high-voltage components and parking areas with automatic Aerosol and ABC concepts – without water or foam damage.
Ideal for company fleets, workshops, EV conversions, underground car parks, private garages and multi-storey car parks.
Local fire protection in engine bay, technical compartments or trunk areas before the fire spreads.
Thermal activation at critical temperature – even when the car is parked alone in a garage.
Aerosol and ABC concepts work without pressurised pipework and are designed to be electronics-friendly.
Typical applications
HelvetiaSafe solutions can be designed for individual vehicles or for complete parking areas.
How the concept works
- Aerosol Disk or devices in the engine bay or technical areas with higher fire load.
- Sticker with Aerosol Type S above wiring looms, fuse boxes or charging electronics.
- ABC Disk or ABC Ball positioned around parking bays, garages or multi-storey car parks.
- In case of fire, the flame is suppressed locally while people move to safety.
Design & components
- Selection of Aerosol and ABC devices according to vehicle type and parking situation.
- Combination of automatic in-vehicle activation with additional protection in the parking area.
- Can be integrated with existing safety concepts, e.g. EV charging stations and garage monitoring.
- Project-specific design by HelvetiaSafe based on photos or a simple sketch of the site.
Does the aerosol harm vehicle electronics?
HelvetiaSafe Aerosol is designed for electrical and electronic environments and avoids water damage. Compared to sprinklers or many liquid agents, cleaning and restart after an event are usually much easier.
Can the system be retrofitted?
Yes. Many projects retrofit existing vehicles and garages with Aerosol and ABC units, without structural changes to the vehicle itself.
Does this replace the fire brigade?
No – it buys time, limits the fire locally and makes intervention for the fire brigade safer while improving protection for people nearby.
